Hermann Kronseder would have been 100 years old on 3 October 2024 - a look back at the life of the inventor, visionary and founder of Krones.
    • In 1951, Hermann Kronseder struck out on his own and began making labelling machines.

Would a young, 27-year-old Hermann Kronseder have dreamed back in 1951 that his newly established factory for building labelling machines would one day grow into a multinational corporation with around 20,000 employees?

Probably not. Because despite his vision and innovative spirit, despite his commitment to perfection and his steadfast pursuit of ambitious goals, he remained authentic and kept his feet firmly on the ground. Ultimately, it was likely this very combination of character traits that enabled Krones to become what it is today: the leading one-stop-shop for the beverage and food industry. Of course, Kronseder enjoyed the support of enthusiastic and innovative employees – and that, too, is part of Krones’ story.

But what exactly made Hermann Kronseder who he was? How did his drive for innovation and progress influence the success of the company – and ultimately the development of the entire industry? In the following paragraphs, we will explore the major milestones in the life of our company’s founder and the impact he had.
